Pensionable Pay

This screen selects the Pay Codes that will be used as Pensionable Pay for the Pension Scheme.

Prerequisites

Rules and Guidelines

  • Use this screen to select the appropriate Pensionable Pay for your Pension Scheme. Pensionable Pay is the amount of money that is used to calculate pension contributions. This should agree with the Pension Provider.
  • Please note that for AE Schemes with a Pensionable Pay Type of 'Qualifying Earnings' or 'Set 3', the pay codes included in Pensionable Pay are pre-defined and cannot be amended.
  • Validation and Save are performed upon clicking Next.
  • Fields that are marked with red asterisks (*) are mandatory.

Field Information

ClosedPensionable Pay Type*

Select the Pay Type if 'Set 1', 'Set 2', 'Set 3', 'Custom', or 'Qualifying Earnings'.

Choosing the following options results to:

  • Qualifying Earnings - Selected pay codes will match the Qualifying Earnings screen and the two list boxes and buttons are disabled. The Pensionable Pot is updated with 'W', and becomes read-only.
  • Set 1 - This enables the list boxes. All pay codes except Basic Rate and Salary are listed on the left, and any 'E' or 'F' Type pay codes are listed on the right.

  • Set 2 - This enables the list boxes. All pay codes except Basic Rate and Salary are listed on the left, and any 'E' or 'F' Type pay codes are listed on the right.

  • Set 3 - The list of pay codes will match the Qualifying Earnings Screen and the two list boxes and buttons are disabled. The Pensionable Pot is updated with 'W', and becomes read-only.
  • Custom - All pay codes except Basic Rate and Salary are listed on the left, and any 'E' or 'F' Type pay codes are listed on the right.

 

ClosedPensionable Pot*

This field allocates the "pot" to be used by the Scheme for Pensionable Pay.

The list contains options from A to Z.

Setting the value of the "Pensionable Pay Type" field to 'Set 3' or 'Qualifying Earnings' automatically populates this field with 'W' (Qualifying Earnings Pot) which cannot be modified.

ClosedAvailable Pay Codes

This displays a list of pay codes that can be selected.

ClosedSelected Pay Codes

This displays a list of selected pay codes.
